Linda Swain (Jody Lazorcik) and her husband Eric (Larry Sheaf)

The play revolves around the character Eric and his attempts to defraud the the Social Security Department.

Eric and his wife Linda own a refurbished Victorian house and have converted some of the rooms upstairs into apartments. When Eric gets laid off from the electric company at Christmas he can't face telling his wife that he is now unemployed.

When one of his tenants moves away, his social security checks keep coming to the house and Eric, being desperate to keep up appearances, cashes the checks and gets the idea to begin inventing fictitious tenants with a variety of health problems for whom he files claims on their behalf. .

Eric (center) tries to enlist the help of his tenant Norman McDonald (Jeff Boyer) (left) to convince Mr. Jenkins (Greg Koslosky) from the Social Security Administration that every thing is on the up-and-up.

Eric's wife discovers some articles of women's clothing in Eric's possession and gets the wrong impression why he has them.

As things get out of control, Eric wants to put an end to the scam by trying to "kill" off all the phony claimants, but that just seems to make matters worse as the entire scheme begins to unravel.
